Sounds like you need to get a manual and start learning to work on your own bike. Saves alot of money. Easy for me to say. My SO wrenches on my bike. *But* he has learned out of necessity, since I can't afford to pay someone else. He has just worked on a Suzuki GS550L we bought for $150 for the kids to practice on. Have about $400 total in it, and he just finished it today. He was having trouble keeping a charge. Already replaced the regulator. So he replaced the alternator. Of yeah, we have a Japanese motorcycle junkyard in the next town and got all used parts, except for the rear tire. The only thing missing is the tach cable. We actually have the cable, but too much work to put it in. And we got the manual from the Library!
